Standard Chartered live with RLUSD custody in DIFC; LMAX collateral-mirroring planned
Standard Chartered’s DIFC branch (DFSA-regulated) now offers institutional custody of Ripple’s RLUSD on the XRP Ledger. A planned RLUSD collateral-mirroring model with Ripple and LMAX Group is not yet live — still subject to documentation, testing, regulatory and internal approvals.
Standard Chartered press release, 12 Oct 2026
Separately, Standard Chartered, Ripple and LMAX Group are working to enable RLUSD as eligible collateral under a collateral-mirroring model so tokens need not move to the venue. That collateral leg remains subject to documentation, testing, regulatory and internal approvals, and jurisdictional readiness — not yet live.
For MENA family offices and regional bank or broker buyers, the signal is bank-grade stablecoin custody in Dubai plus a clearer custody–execution separation pattern.
