OES, triparty, and cap intro: a density test
Three rails that get sold as one prime package, split back apart, with a density test and every observation left open.
Plan band. This page is the outline. Scores, densities, and vendor evidence are not filled. An empty cell is intentional.

Plan band. This page fixes the questions. It does not pretend the density has been measured, and it does not name a vendor as a pass or a fail.
Three rails that get collapsed into "prime"#
Off-exchange settlement. The desk trades on a venue while the asset stays at a custodian. What moves, in the version of this rail worth studying, is the gain and loss or the collateral that secures it — not the whole inventory on every order. The pitch is capital efficiency. The density is a second set of legal documents, an intraday margin process, and a default waterfall the investment committee can be shown without the vendor in the room.
Triparty. A collateral agent sits between a lender and a borrower. Eligibility, haircuts, substitution, and corporate actions are the agent's schedule. They are not a courtesy. The pitch is secured financing without building a collateral desk. The density is the dispute window, an eligibility list that can change under the book, and a clear answer to who holds the asset if the agent and the lender disagree.
Cap intro. Capital introduction: allocators introduced to a manager, or credit introduced to a desk. The pitch is distribution. The density is what the introducer is allowed to say, what the introducer must not hold, and the line at which an introduction becomes an activity that needs a permission in the seat that matters.
This desk does not make introductions. The finished primer will describe the control. It will not offer the service.
The density test#
Density is the operational and legal weight a rail adds before it earns its keep. A rail that saves margin and adds a daily break the team cannot clear is not efficient.
The test has seven dimensions. The finished primer will put an observation in each cell from public terms, and from the questions a vendor cannot answer. This pass leaves the observations open. "Open" is the status. It is not a quiet pass.
| Dimension | What the cell has to say | OES | Triparty | Cap intro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Legal entities added | How many new contracts, and with whom | Open | Open | Open |
| Daily breaks | What must match before the book is closed, and who stays late | Open | Open | Open |
| Asset at rest | Where the asset sits while the position is open | Open | Open | Open |
| Credit | Who extends it, and against what | Open | Open | Open |
| Failure the desk eats | Venue, custodian, agent, or a misstatement by the introducer | Open | Open | Open |
| Permission | Whether the seat treats the rail as a licensed activity, and whose license is in use | Open | Open | Open |
| Minimum size | The book size at which the density is cheaper than prefunding or than not offering the product | Open | Open | Open |
The minimum-size cell will be a range with its assumptions shown, or it will say the public record is not enough to estimate. It will not be a single number placed in the table to make the frame look finished.
How to use the empty frame now#
- A family office with one operations seat should treat any rail that adds a daily break as a hiring decision, not as a feature.
- A bank or broker product lead should treat the same rail as a control-framework decision: which existing policy it collides with, and which permission it borrows.
- If a vendor describes off-exchange settlement, triparty, and capital introduction as one prime package, split them back into the three columns before you price it. They fail differently. A custodian default, an agent dispute, and an introducer who said too much are not the same event and not the same insurance question.
What the finished primer will decide#
A go or no-go density threshold for each rail, stated separately for a single-book family office and for a bank product lead who has to house the rail inside a framework that already exists.
Thresholds will cite the assumption that moves them. Where the public record is thin, the cell stays open and says so. Naming the category is not a claim that any particular custodian, venue, or introducing broker offers the rail on the terms above. The scored pass, when it is written, will confirm terms from the counterparty's own documents.
Out of scope for this outline#
No volume. No assets under management. No "typical" margin saving. No ranking. A later pass that fills a cell without a citation does not clear this desk's bar, and it will not be published as if it had. The published white-label API screen is Getting started with Binance CaaS. This outline does not score that product.
Sources
No third-party document is cited in this outline. The finished primer will cite primary public documents only, and it will say so when a cell has no public source.
